ESSAY

Sample number #15 is basically black in color.  The angularity of the individual particles is mostly sub rounded.  The entire sample is fairly well sorted.  The most outstanding physical characteristic of the sand is that it is mostly black, and contains much hornblende. The sand looks mostly black, but other colors and different types of rocks, such as quartz, are visible through the microscope.
