ESSAY Sand sample #28 is
from hermit island Maine. The sample was moderately sorted, and the
pieces of Sand were very angular but very fine. In the sample we found
Quartz, Hornblende, and white mica. The most outstanding physical
characteristic of the sand was it sparkles. The sparkles are the white
mica. It blends nicely with the contrasting dark color of the
hornblende, giving a very fine and nice texture. |
