It was a dark and stormy late summer afternoon. The beach was deserted! Rockport is totally surrounded by granite. There are huge granite quarries quite close to this beach.

ESSAY

Sample #25 is grey with tan and black sediment pieces. The sand is mostly subangular. The sand is also moderately sorted. The sand from Cape Hedge beach, Rockport, MA, is very fine. I figured out that the sand is fine because I reached in with my finger and felt the sand to find its physical features. It was light, and the pieces were very small.
